Upwardly Mobile - “The easiest way to get an extra bedroom or bathroom is to build a loft,” explains Location Location Location man Phil Spencer. “It’s not particularly disruptive, either, as most of the work can be done from outside.”
Expand and Prosper - New knobs on the kitchen cupboards may improve a house’s looks, but what really brings long-term added value is extra space. “If you’re doing an extension, there’s no point in doing a small one,” according to George Clarke. “Five metres by five metres might cost you £20,000, six metres by six might only add another couple of thousand, but you’ll get a much better space. Make the extension as big as you can afford, without compromising the quality of your house, the size of your garden, or annoying the neighbours.”
Build a Fun Room - Either for small children (and call it a play room), for teenagers (call it a computer room) or grown-ups (media room). No question that this kind of recreational area adds value to a house. The problem is, where do you find the space? One solution is to locate the extra room either inside, or on top of, an existing garage. After all, which is going to be worth more – a place to keep your car dry or a place for people to live?

“Our kitchen extension was completed on time, and most importantly for us on budget. We didn't have the time to project manage the work and ATM did a great job of keeping everything on track”
Mrs Peters - Winwick
“A friend of ours recommended ATM when we we're looking to extend upward in to the loft. Their team of builders and tradesman were very friendly and kept the place tidy”
